IT之家 November 1 news: According to a report yesterday by foreign media outlet MP1ST, Days Gone developer Bend Studio is working on a new title, expected to be announced in 2027.

According to people familiar with the matter, this title will use a third-person perspective and support co-op mode, but it is not a games-as-a-service (IT之家 note: GaaS) title. Earlier this year, there were rumors that Bend Studio had canceled a GaaS game codenamed “Mirror Pond.”
For PlayStation players, Bend Studio no longer developing GaaS is obviously good news. After all, Sony’s recent investments in this area have continued to suffer setbacks: Concord has already flopped hard, and Fairgame$ has not had any public news for a long time.
However, it is currently unclear whether Bend Studio’s new title is a brand-new IP, but it will not be Days Gone 2. Previously, there were reports that Bend Studio had proposed a development plan for a Days Gone sequel, but PlayStation executives did not approve it.
In addition, according to people familiar with the matter, the development progress of this new title is far beyond outside expectations, with a release timeframe targeting 2027.
