IT之家 November 4 news: The WeChat HarmonyOS version App released the 8.0.23.34 official version update tonight on Huawei AppGallery.
As usual, the update notes for this release are still “fixed some known issues.” According to user feedback, version 8.0.23 of WeChat adds the following features:
Some Flutter cross-platform pages (such as Moments, Listen, Sticker Management, and other pages) now respond to the system font weight;
In the ringtone selection interface, a new ringtone settings entry has been added to the top right corner, supporting enabling or disabling personalized content recommendations;
When publishing Channels content, adding annotations is now supported; for already-published Channels content, tapping share now also supports adding annotations;
Discover - Live - More Live now has a new search button;
On the Listen main page, a new floating button for the Xiaowei branch entry has been added to the bottom right corner, and corresponding prompt words pop up based on the current page content, allowing quick use of Listen-related Ask Xiaowei features; on the playback page, tapping share now includes Ask Xiaowei (the floating button in the bottom right corner of the main page is being gradually rolled out);
The Official Accounts icon has been refreshed, aligned with other platforms;
Information such as friend nicknames, group nicknames, remarks, WeChat IDs, and regions now supports long-press to copy;
On the Service Accounts feed page, articles published by followed Service Accounts now support long-press, with options to unfollow or delete the article message;
The style of the button in the bottom right corner when opening images or videos in chats, for images and videos in this chat, has been changed;
Service Accounts feed - recommended stickers now support long-press to forward;
Chat tools now include Ask Xiaowei (gradually rolling out, requires the account to be grayscaled into the Xiaowei entity);
The live page now supports displaying the current number of people who forwarded and shared the live stream;
The Listen floating icon style has been refreshed;
When viewing group member profiles in group chats where you have management permissions, the nickname of the group member who invited that member to the group in the join method is now changed to a blue clickable state;
Supports displaying the Moments like easter egg set on other platforms;
Tapping share on Channels content now includes Ask Xiaowei (gradually rolling out, requires the account to be grayscaled into the Xiaowei entity);
In the red text portion of Service Accounts notification reminders, a new reminder of the Service Account name for new notifications has been added, changing from [n messages] to [xxx and n messages];
Fixed the long-standing problem of delayed image opening;
A new import option has been added to the top right corner of group payments, supporting importing bills, group solitaire, and historical group payments when initiating a group payment (gradually rolling out, supported on version 8.0.22 and above);
Grayscale rollout of the merged image-sending feature;
After grayscale enabling group message Do Not Disturb, a feature to still notify for some messages can be set;
Fixed some known issues.
In addition, after this update, more users have grayscale access to the merged image-sending feature. When sending images and videos to friends, if you select three or more items, a “Merge display after sending” option will pop up.
