IT之家 October 29 news: Recently, a large number of developers have successfully ported Apple’s iOS system to run on various phones. For example, developer @江灵夏草 posted an announcement stating that they have successfully run the iOS 17 system on the Xiaomi REDMI K90 Pro Max. At present, this porting project has completed driver adaptation for multiple core hardware components, covering GPU graphics rendering, multi-core CPU scheduling, 120Hz screen display, and the USB data channel.

The developer stated that the corresponding project will subsequently be officially open-sourced to the UniXNU code repository, opened to the global technical community, and developers are invited to participate together in feature iteration and bug fixing.
Going forward, the developer will continue to advance debugging of the remaining modules, with the goal of completing the Wi-Fi module, screen brightness adjustment, and IPA installation package sideloading functionality. If conditions mature later, there are also plans to set up a private server environment to expand more system-level features.
However, limited by the adaptation threshold of hardware drivers, a large number of peripheral hardware components are still not working at present. Commonly used daily functions such as the camera module, power button, volume buttons, cellular communication baseband, and speaker cannot be used normally, and there is still a considerable gap before a complete daily-use experience is achieved.
